Can Colloidal Silver Be Used Against Renal Cancer?

Did you know there are people with personal stories about successfully using colloidal silver against their renal cancer?

As you might already know, colloidal silver has powerful healing properties and has even been used for kidney infections, but many aren’t aware that some people have found it useful for healing renal cancer.

But are there any clinical studies to back up these personal experiences?

While I’ve read several personal stories about people finding healing from renal cancer using colloidal silver, testimonials, of course, however interesting they might be, are not evidence of clinical efficacy. So I decided to do some internet research in order to determine whether or not any clinical studies exist that demonstrate silver to be effective against renal (kidney) cancer cells.

And sure enough, there is one, published in December 2016 in the journal ScienceDirect.

The study is titled, “Fucan-Coated Silver Nanoparticles Synthesized by a Green Method Induce Human Renal Adenocarcinoma Cell Death,” which is quite a mouthful, I think you’ll agree. Let me synopsize the lengthy study and its results for you:

The researchers were studying a polysaccharide known as a “fucan A,” which is extracted from a seaweed known scientifically as Spatoglossum shroederi.

They state in the Abstract of their study that they knew from previous research this particular fucan “is non-toxic to rats when administered in high doses.” And they also knew that it “exhibits low toxicity against tumor cells.”

In other words, this polysaccharide from seaweed known as “fucan A” has already been demonstrated in animal studies to be safe to ingest. And it’s been previously demonstrated to have a very low level of effectiveness against tumor cells, when tested in laboratory “test tube” studies.

The researchers decided to see if they could increase the effectiveness of the seaweed extract (fucan A) against cancer cells by using it to synthesize silver nanoparticles in a process called “green synthesis.” This simply means that instead of using harsh chemicals to create silver nanoparticles out of silver ions, they instead used the seaweed extract.

Put another way, they used the seaweed extract (fucan A) to reduce silver ions into metallic silver nanoparticles that were essentially “capped” (coated) with the seaweed extract.

The researchers wrote:

“Studies have shown that the synthesis of silver nanoparticles with different molecules potentiates the activity of these molecules that are applied in areas such as cosmetics, medicine, and materials engineering.

Therefore, one way of increasing the antiproliferative activity of fucan A is the synthesis of silver nanoparticles with fucan A.”

Put another way, their operating theory was that synthesizing silver nanoparticles with seaweed extract (fucan A) might increase the ability of fucan A to stop cancer cells from multiplying.

In a laboratory “test tube” environment, the researchers then exposed the silver nanoparticles to a variety of human and animal cells, including “human renal adenocarcinoma (786-0) cells (ATCC CRL-1932),” which, of course, are human kidney cancer cells.

And what did they discover? They found that:

“….these nanoparticles did not show any toxic effects against various normal cell lines; however, they decreased the viability of various tumor cells, especially renal adenocarcinoma cells 786-0.”

In other words, the capped silver nanoparticles had no toxic effect against normal human and animal cells. But they caused the renal (i.e., kidney) cancer tumor cells to die!

Finally, the researchers concluded:

“The data obtained herein leads to the conclusion that fucan A silver nanoparticles are promising agents against renal adenocarcinoma.”

This is critically important to understand, the researchers further stated, because:

“Renal adenocarcinoma (renal cancer) is the third major cause of urogenital tract cancer….

…. The recommended treatment is the surgical removal of the tumor because these tumors are resistant to radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

The development of compounds that are toxic against renal adenocarcinoma cells is therefore highly desirable.”

In other words, this is truly good news because this type of kidney cancer is “resistant to radiotherapy and chemotherapy” and can generally only be treated with risky surgery.

In the Conclusion to their study, the researchers summed everything up by stating:

“The synthesis of stable nanoparticles with silver and fucan A polysaccharide was successful.

These nanoparticles exhibited a higher cytotoxicity against tumor cells, especially human renal adenocarcinoma cells (786-0), than against non-tumor cells.

We also confirmed that NFucAs induce the necrosis of 786-0 cells but were not toxic against various non-tumor kidney cells.”

The bottom line is that while the seaweed extract, fucan A, was known to have very low toxicity against kidney cancer cells, when silver was brought into the picture the toxicity to the cancer cells increased significantly!

What’s more, the silver nanoparticles showed no toxicity to normal kidney cells!

Powerful Personal Stories: Using Colloidal Silver for Renal Cancer

3. 10 grams of Vitamin C taken orally over the course of the day to strengthen his immune system. (Intra-venous {IV} vitamin C can help immensely, but I couldn’t find a practitioner to administer it).

4. A good muliti-vitamin and mineral capsule taken daily, again, to strengthen his immune system. Additional vitamin E, D, A, and selenium.

5. Dr. Hulda Clark’s 2004 “Zapper” using the Cancer program driver. He used the Zapper daily for the remaining three weeks after running the 8 day program (which is one session the first day, 2 sessions of the Zapper the second day with an hour in between sessions, 3 sessions the third day, an hour in between sessions, 4 and four, 5 and five, 6 and six, 7 and seven, and 8 sessions on the eighth day, again with an hour in between each session). so the last day it takes fifteen hours to complete the Zapper run. After the eight day run with the Zapper program, he used it off and on daily for the remaining three weeks.

6. Lots of raw vegetables and fruit daily.

He was very disciplined in using all of these protocols for the entire four weeks. When he went in for his surgery, the oncologists did a scan to locate all of the cancer, but the cancer was totally gone, to his and the doctor’s surprise, and they had to cancel the surgery!

In my opinion, it was the combination of all of these protocols including Colloidal Silver Water that saved his kidney from the ravages of cancer. This was a very tough situation because we had a very short time limit of only four weeks to work on ridding his body of the cancer.

I was as surprised as he and the doctors because of the short time span. He was very thankful about the outcome. But it proved to me once again, that it’s certainly possible to overcome cancer using natural, alternative methods.

To me, the optimal time to begin natural, alternative treatments is immediately after diagnosis before any allopathic treatments have been administered. Differential Cytotoxic And Radiosensitizing Effects Of Silver Nanoparticles On Triple-Negative Breast Cancer And Non-Triple-Negative Breast Cells

In this clinical study, published in the International Journal of Nanomedicine in June 2015, researchers demonstrated that silver nanoparticles were highly toxic to triple-negative breast cancer cells (TNBC) “at doses that have little effect on non-tumorigenic breast cells or cells derived from liver, kidney, and monocyte lineages.”

In other words, the silver nanoparticles caused toxicity and ultimately cell death in the breast cancer cells, at levels that caused no harm to normal healthy human breast cells, nor to cells involved in the clearance of silver from the body, such as liver and kidney cells, nor to immune cells (i.e., monocytes).

According to the study authors, compared to other types of breast tumors, triple-negative breast cancer “has a greater likelihood of metastasis, and the 5-year survival rate of women diagnosed with TNBC is markedly decreased.”

Therefore, the researchers argued, “there’s a pressing need for effective therapeutics to treat this form of breast cancer.” The researchers concluded, “…we find that silver nanoparticles are cytotoxic to TNBC cells at doses that have little effect on noncancerous breast cells or other healthy cells.”

Toxicity of Nanosilver on Osteoblast Cancerous Cell Line

According to the authors of this study, published in the journal International Nano Letters (January 2011), nanosilver exhibited “broad spectrum inhibition” against the cancer cell line studied. The authors state:

“Many attempts have been made to use silver nanoparticles as an anti-cancer agent and they have all turned up positive…The purpose of this study was to assess the biological assay of nanosilver (Nanocid®) on osteoblast (G292) cancerous cell line. The effect of nanosilver on these cells was evaluated by light microscopy, and by cell proliferation and standard cytotoxicity assays. The results demonstrate a concentration-dependent toxicity for the cell tested, and IC50 was determined 3.42 μg/mL, suggest(ing) that the product is more toxic to cancerous cells compared to other heavy metal ions.”

In other words, a meager 3.42 ppm nanosilver solution caused a whopping 50% of the cancer cells to die in this test tube study. (The study demonstrated that higher concentrations of nanosilver caused an even greater percentage of cell death.) The authors concluded, “In general, silver nanoparticles should serve as one of the best ways of treating diseases that involve cell proliferation and cell death.” Yes, they’re saying silver is one of the best ways to treat cancer!

Results:

Group I: At 19 days post-treatment, a re-biopsy of all patients was performed, with a resulting diagnosis of 100% normal mammary tissue.

Group II: At 23 days post-treatment, re-biopsy of all patients revealed 100% normal mammary tissue.

Group III: At 29 days post-treatment, re-biopsy showed 100% normal mammary tissue.

Conclusions: Four out of the 30 patients (13%) experienced JHEs (die-off effects) from treatment. These side reactions were minimal, and were confined to self-resolving, self-limiting and uneventful hepatomegaly and mild fever. At 30 days post-treatment, silver-oxide-hydrosol appeared to have cured the breast cancers of the 30 test subjects.

As you can see, the results of this special silver-based anti-cancer protocol were impressive, to say the least. Some would say miraculous.
